This Martin D-28 Authentic is a faithful recreation of a D-28 from 1941. The D-28s of 1941 were originally constructed with Brazilian Rosewood back/sides, but due to regulation laws of the modern day, this guitar's back/sides are Madagascar Rosewood. Aside from the back/sides, this guitar is as authentic as it gets to 1941 spec.
This used 2013 D-28 Authentic 1941 features an Adirondack Spruce top with Bold Herringbone binding. The back is beautiful piece of Madagascar Rosewood that is accented with Zigzag purfling. The body has had a binding repair on the upper bout as well as a 6in hairline back crack along the back purfling that was repaired in house. The mahogany neck, ebony fingerboard, and frets are all in great condition. There is a finish ding/chip on the back left side of the headstock. This 1941 Authentic comes with the original hard-shell case.
